As a Digital Architect, you are trained to orchestrate complex technical capabilities within organizations. But increasingly, the most important orchestra to understand is the one playing inside yourself.
Just as IT systems rely on a complex Operating System, human beings function through a deep, often unseen, organizing layer. In the context of this work, I call that layer the Soul.
Soul Coaching is not therapy, and not religion.
It is an architectural exploration of human inner complexity. A synthesis integrating psychology, systems thinking, spirituality, and emerging views from consciousness research.
Soul Coaching is inspired by the Six Senses described by Daniel H. Pink in his book A Whole New Mind. They are reframed as inner competences for Digital Architecture at Human Scale.
The Human Operating System
Modern technology has taught us something important:
- systems behave according to their underlying architecture,
- performance issues often originate below the application layer,
- and sustainable change requires insight into the operating system itself.
Human beings are no different.
Our thoughts, emotions, motivations, fears, creativity, and sense of meaning are not random.
They emerge from a layered inner system — a Human Biosystem — that most of us were never taught to understand.
Soul Coaching is about becoming conscious of that inner OS. Not to control it, but to work with it intelligently and ethically.
Why now?
Several developments are converging:
- growing interest in Digital Twins and human-centered system modeling,
- advances in neuroscience, psychology, and consciousness studies,
- rapid growth of AI-assisted systems that increasingly influence decision-making,
- and a collective sense that technical intelligence without inner maturity is dangerous.
These developments raise a fundamental question:
If we model machines in ever more detail, should we not also deepen our understanding of ourselves?
Assisted by AI, not directed by it
This work takes a clear position:
AI and digital systems should support human growth, not replace human agency.
They should assist awareness, reflection, and responsibility — not automate meaning or decision-making.
That requires humans who are conscious of their own inner architecture.
Soul Coaching aims to cultivate exactly that awareness.
The Compass of the Soul (Work in Progress)
The Compass of the Soul is an evolving information system and reflective framework that brings these ideas together.
It is:
- a conceptual compass, not a dogma,
- a practical reflection tool, not a belief system,
- and a work in progress, developed through writing, coaching, and lived experience.
This website documents that journey.
